Sam Stephens has been a Three Oaks member since he was 12 years old and
has been extremely active in both the Baptist Collegiate Ministries
(BCM) and in the Missions field for the past several years. Sam was the
president of the BCM at Dyersburg State Community College while he was
studying there and is now President of the BCM at the University of
Tennessee at Martin.
For the past few years Sam has also been very active in the Missions field, taking part in both US and International Missions. This past summer he served with the BCM summer Missionary program 'Light Messengers' . He was assigned to a team of four who would travel around the State of Maine. Sam's team moved from Church to Church within the Maine Baptist Association (MEBA) with a focus on serving and assisting the Churches and communities they would come into contact with. They were involved in painting and some light construction work projects, as well as planning Children's outreach events. This was Sam's second summer spent in Maine on Missionary work.
